Lin : "well, That's how my mother met my father"

Can't fall asleep... and don't want to study... so doodled something...

Ok... I admit... I'm still curious about who Lin's father is... 'Cuz, you know... it's Toph, who would dare to marry her and who is qualified... If it's not someone from the previous show (hopefully not)... I hope he could be an Earth Kingdom Noble firebender, who is strong but gentle... So he could protect Toph from fire attacks, which I think could be the most dangerous element for Toph to fight, since she can't see. (The only time she got hurt is from Zuko's fire, right?)

Someone may think Toph is strong enough to live alone, but I think deep in her heart she really wants someone who loves and can protect her. If you watched carefully, it's not difficult to find a girly and soft side of this tough girl. So, she deserves a marriage. (But, you know... I never even wished for her to grow up =_=

Well, according to Lin's personality, I don't suppose her father was much of an influence.
...wait...Lin's last name is Bei Fong, from her mother!?!...OK... in this case it's meaningless to do this... =___=
whatever, I'll go back to sleep now...

Beautiful description! I was wondering the same things when I saw Lin - Who did Toph marry?! Wish I knew. But I love the way you left it up to us to fill in the picture. Great job!

Well most people in Avatar didn't have last names. Toph's family, the Bei fong family is extremely wealthy and influential, even on the other side of the Earth Kingdom the golden Bei Fong seal was considered a huge deal. Maybe he didn't have a last name ^^

Most people in the Avatar universe don't have last names so maybe Lin took her mother's last name. Lin probably chose to take on the name Bei Fong to live in her mother's footsteps. Who wouldn't want the name Bei Fong?

I think Toph adopted Lin (probably from her Earth Bender's Academy?), and that's why they have the same last name.
