2011.9- 2012.9 my cell style Before-After Meme.

The old one was in the manner of official style while the new one is more close to my own style. Technically not much improvement though....

the left once was the first piece that fully finished in Paint tool Sai which cost me over 5 hours to finish, and the right one is a within one hour doodle. alright, at least speed up a bit... ^^;

the original post is on tumblr [link] which is a parody for Grey's Pizzula vocaltwit, it somehow remainds me my teashop waitress Azula, and I still love that idea and design



Photoshop style before n after meme

Speaks of software, I am sometimes asked which software is the best for digital drawing or does it necessary to buy a Photoshop.
Well, I don't think there is "the best drawing software" in the world, each artist has their own coloring hobbit and method, so as long as it suits you most is the best.
For me, I tend to use Sai to make doodle or sketch, for it's faster and smooth, on the other hand, although Photoshop runs slower and cost more time to get strokes right, it enable more freedom in customizing things.
Sai is a very great free paint software, lots fantastic artists use it, it worth a try.

you can see how you've really developed your own style. 2011 looks like Azula. 2012 looks like your own version/interpretation of her with a dash of your own creativity. . . I would definitely say, that is improvement :-)
