【Four Chinese Characters Series】

No one knows her better than herself.

I've been thinking of going through all the 9 main characters (Gaang+Ozai's Angel) since I started doing AtLA fanart. I mean, Not only draw each character individually but also hold them in a certain way to make a series that presents my own view of each of them.

Now I finally got an concept that I'm happy with.
So~ here brings you my brand new Challenge the【Four Chinese Characters Series】project.

In this project, I'll pick a Chinese idiom (which always consist of four characters) for each character which I personal think it's the best one to summarize his/her characteristic. Then the works will be created base on their idioms.

PS:I find it's really hard to translate accurately in both meaning and mood. If anyone is able to help with the translate issue, I couldn't be happier!

The style maybe will be bit original in costums or details, you probably noticed I love to play with them.

However, it doesn't mean that I'll turn to doing this project in the following future. No, not at all. Still, what i want to do always going first, and for this project, hopefully can be filled up sometime next year

SO~ here you go, first episode: Mai (no specific reason for doing Mai first... just accidentally get the feeling and did her first)

Mai for me is kinda mysterious character. She hardly talking about herself or react to the environment. She seems boring but I can feel there is actually some strong emotion deep in her heart. that's why sometime her behavior/action is unexpectable.
And one more thing for me, she feels royal and elegant. I regard her as the most suitable person for Fire Lady. But don't twist my point. I'm not talking about the love issue, I'm talking about the general quality.

so my idiom for Mai is "孤芳自賞": No one knows her better than herself.
It also contains the feeling of "she got beauty deep inside, but few people can look through. she knows it but not really care."
