Terrible idea!! Music alters the mood and can influence the way art is viewed. If you want to listen to music, there are many other ways to do so. Just imagine trying to appreciate some pastoral scene with improv Jazz playing in the background. Of course you could always watch on mute.

I think if it's just on the profile page and if I can turn it off, it's fine. I think it'd be kind of interesting, but it might take the page longer to load xD;;

I was kind of mixed. I really want to focus on the artworks, so music would be very distracting. It would be even more distracting, if you could not choose the music on yourself: a happy note when you look at a heavy pic with melancholical undertones? - Very odd.
So as long as they cannot limit on "neutral" tunes (and such are hardly to find), which also might slow down the page, I would prefer no music at all. If you necessarely want it - better add Youtube in the background!

I think it's a great idea! There's already music and sounds in animations or movies posted on DA. If an artists has a piece of work meant to be heard with a certain melody to set the mood, then why shouldn't they allow it? Music is a form of art too, and it'll be great to hear what people come up with. I'm just afraid people might abuse it (use copyrighted music, music theft, etc.), but you see those problems everywhere. Plus I'm sure there's already sites made specifically for music sharing for new artists (similar to [link] ).
